On this Sunday we look at how God responds to Mary and Martha as they grieve the death of their brother, Lazarus. Even though Jesus knows he will raise Lazarus from the dead in just a short time, he still addresses the very real pain and loss of these sisters. Jesus shares the Truth, he weeps, and even expresses anger at death itself. All in the context of his being “the Resurrection and the Life.”
