Pastor Matt teaches us about the context of ministry in Thessalonica in the days of The Apostle Paul. In the introduction of 1 Thessalonias 2 we see Paul celebrate two things with this newfound church – 1 the love they have for one another and 2 – the importance of God’s Word in their midst. This is what the church is all about still. In response to the Death and Resurrection of Jesus we Love the Word and we Love our Neighbors. Not out of fear, but in joy for what Christ has already won for us!
