Board of Service Ministry
The mission of the Board of Service Ministry is to identify and facilitate ways in which members of St. Andrews can actively demonstrate Christ’s love to those in need in our community and in the world.
Examples of how St. Andrews members serve our community and world include creating backpacks filled with school supplies for needy children around the world (in collaboration with Lutheran World Relief), donating household items to welcome refugees who are new arrivals in Chicagoland (in collaboration with Exodus World Service), donating food items to St. Paul of the Cross’s Food Pantry in Park Ridge and winter coats and frozen turkeys to support St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Also, St. Andrews actively participates in the annual Niles/Park Ridge CROP Hunger Walk (in collaboration with Church World Service) and Park Ridge’s Sunday Night Supper program (in collaboration with the Park Ridge Ministerial Association).
