GIFT PLANNING: A good gift plan within an estate includes inheritance for family and gifts to ministry. Some might consider this a difficult task. How does an LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor help? Depending on your goals, an LCMS Foundation has the resources and gift planning tools that can be customized to your plan, so that your intent is realized some day when the Lord calls you home. Contact Ray Pagels at [email protected] or his cell 847.226.2262.

FOOD PANTRY UPDATE: 148 households visited the St Paul of the Cross food pantry in April. Most needed items are cold cereal, pancake mix and syrup, canned mixed vegetables and plain WHITE rice (l lb.). Thank you for your continuing support!
MISSION OF THE MONTH: One of the facets of our May Mission of the Month, the LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces, is called Operation Barnabas, established in 2007, so named to recognize Paul’s companion Barnabas who helped him during his missionary work. (The name Barnabas means “son of encouragement.”) This ministry says, “We hope to encourage our military and their families with the Gospel in action.” Operation Barnabas goals are: 1. Care for chaplains and their families and congregations. 2. Train and assist local congregations in the care, support, and outreach to all military connected people in their congregations and communities. 3. Serve as a resource to other organizations that provide care for military-connected people.

A Message from Pastor
It is always exciting to celebrate Pentecost, especially as we change over to our Summer Worship Schedule! Remember that our services are a 5pm Saturday and 9:30am Sunday. Even as we head into the Summer Months, we have so much going on at St. Andrews. You recieved an email yesterday with a more extensive list of updates about our various ministries. As you read those, please continue to lift up all of our ministries and all those who serve in your prayers! God is Good!
Memorial Day weekend is a good time for us to remember all those who have given their lives for the sake of our freedom. One of the best ways we can honor their sacrifice is to USE our freedom to worship by coming to church and joining our Brothers and Sisters in Christ and recieving the gifts of Christ every week!

How the Sausage is Made (Sermon Study) - June 16, 2026
Pastor Matt reviews his sermon on Psalm 19, and how God gives evidence into his nature in the nature we see in the heavens. Pastor Ethan talks about his upcoming sermon on Psalm 34 and God's gracious order, which he gives us in the midst of our disorder and chaos.

Order Out of Chaos
Pastor Ethan helps us meditate on the poetic brilliance of Psalm 34. King David, through the inspiration of the Spirit, wrote these beautiful words amidst a chaotic season in his life. He cried out to God, and God answered him. Psalm 34 reminds us that no matter what we endure, there is always deliverance, hope, and rescue through Christ.

The Law of the Lord is Perfect
Pastor Matt takes us through Psalm 19 and connects it to Matthew 5:17-20. In the Gospel we learn how much Jesus values the Law of God, and in the Psalms we learn that even the Cosmos gives evidence to God's order, laws, and rules. God's Law is perfect, and if we open our eyes, we get to see it at …
