A Message from Pastor
I am looking forward to this weekend! We have our Annual June Voter's meeting after the Sunday service, and I hope you can attend. This last year has been one of incredible change and great accomplishment.
Just to name a few Highlights:
We welcomed Pastor Ethan, Wren and Isla to our St. Andrews Family.
We completed an in-depth strategic plan for ministry.
We interviewed candidates for Principal and hired Mrs. Hillary Delanty. We celebrated 40 years of faithful service for our retiring Principal - Ms. Laura Boggs. We initated a Mission/Vision/Marketing Process for our School.
We hired a Director of Communication and Media for the Church. We revamped our entire Communication System in the Church and School.
We completed the construction of our Church Office space in the basement.
While there is alway much to do, we can be so proud of what we have done this year to improve St. Andrews and respond to the great mercy of God in Christ!

In Christ, Pastor Matt Hoffmann

MISSION OF THE MONTH: Our mission of the month El Comedor San Mateo, the soup kitchen at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Pilsen, serves its very poor primarily Hispanic neighbors. St. Matthew pastor Cesar Sifuentes says that the soup kitchen is not just a ministry of the congregation, but that the people who come to the soup kitchen constitute a “second congregation” of S. Matthew. Every free meal served at the soup kitchen is accompanied by a devotion that brings the Gospel to those who come to eat. According to Pastor Sifuentes, “The soup kitchen is not just about food; the point is the soul.” El Comedor San Mateo depends on the generosity of Lutherans in other congregations to carry out its ministry. Please consider a gift to St. Matthew to assist the soup kitchen. You can send a contribution directly to St. Matthew at 2108 W. 21st Street. Chicago, IL 60608 or place a designated contribution in our weekly offering. Remember, Jesus tells us that when we feed the hungry, we are really feeding Him.

How the Sausage is Made (Sermon Study) - 06/25/2026
Pastor Ethan recaps his sermon on Psalm 34 and talks about what it is like to write a sermon during an unusual week and what he would have liked to talk more about. Pastor Matt gets into his upcoming sermon on Psalm 42, and some of the overview of the 2nd book in the 5 divisions of the Psalms.

Order Out of Chaos
Pastor Ethan helps us meditate on the poetic brilliance of Psalm 34. King David, through the inspiration of the Spirit, wrote these beautiful words amidst a chaotic season in his life. He cried out to God, and God answered him. Psalm 34 reminds us that no matter what we endure, there is always deliverance, hope, and rescue through Christ.
