What are people saying…

Lillian Rihani, Current Parent

“We chose St. Andrews for the Christian based education and values that are instilled in the children that attend this school. Our kids have been given a great education that has propelled our oldest into a challenging honors program in his current high school. The staff and teachers are caring and work hard to help each student succeed academically. The school helps to foster relationships between all the grades in the school. It’s heartwarming to see the preschoolers look up to the 8th graders and high-five them out the door on the way to a volleyball championship, for example. The community at St. Andrews is strong, supportive of the family, and loving. In a world that can be cold and unpredictable, I feel blessed to be able to send my kids to a school that nurtures them and loves them. Children thrive when they are loved well and challenged intellectually, that is what St. Andrews provides.”

Lauri Cruz, Parent of Graduate

“We chose Saint Andrews for many reasons. We are so glad we did. My child, even with an IEP, was offered the opportunity to be mainstreamed with her peers (this was not happening with public school). She was supported and cared for not just academically, but spiritually while being held to high standards. She was given “just right” challenges to help her grow. It prepared her well for high school where she now has the confidence to keep up with peers in, again, a private school that also has high standards. We truly miss our Saint Andrews family we pray blessings on the students and staff.”

Reflections on St. Andrews Lutheran School

“I recently retired as a Chicago Public School Principal after teaching and administering for forty years in public education. I began working for Concordia University in the fall of 2021 as an Adjunct Professor supervising student teacher candidates. I had the opportunity to observe a student teacher in the Fall of 2021 who was placed at St. Andrews with a remarkable third grade teacher. I was very impressed with administration, staff, and students at St Andrews! Teachers are very caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated. They hold students to high expectations for academics and as well as respectful human beings. Parents, if you are looking for a Christian-centered educational experience for your children with high academic expectations and social-emotional support, St. Andrews certainly meets those criteria!”
