Welcome
To St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Park Ridge, IL
Connecting People to Christ, Church & Community.
St. Andrews has been in Park Ridge for over 110 years. In that time, so much has changed. But what hasn’t changed is our calling to love and serve our neighbors and share the Good News of Christ with our community. We are right in the heart of Park Ridge at 260 N. Northwest Highway, just north of Uptown and connected to Hinkley Park. We would love to meet you and we hope you can join us for a worship service or Bible Study soon!

FAQ’s
What should I wear to church?
We have been told that all of our services are “reverent and relaxed.” So feel free to wear what makes you comfortable to worship. In each of our services, you will find a range of attire. Some feel most comfortable in more casual clothes, others prefer to dress up a bit. How you dress is not as important as simply being here to celebrate the grace of God with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Come join us!
Can my kids come to worship?
WE LOVE KIDS! At St. Andrews, children are not spoken of as being the “future of the church.” We know they “are the church” just as much as anyone else. We love having kids in worship, which means we will have some noise during the service and some Cheerios to clean up after the service. We wouldn’t have it any other way. We do have a private nursing room and nursery/cry room for kids under 4 if they need a break. The back of our church has a variety of tables and coloring books for families to utilize during the service. And what you will find is that many families enjoy sitting in the pews with their children. I am amazed at how quickly kids learn to love being in church! In short, BRING YOUR KIDS! We LOVE IT!
What is the Worship style there?
We have several different styles of worship. Our Saturday evening worship service is a more casual service with contemporary instrumentation (guitars, drums, etc.). Our early Sunday service (and Summer Sunday service) is called the Divine Service, and is more traditional with the Organ, piano, and guest musicians. Our late service on Sunday is a meditative service with Taize-style music and prayers from the early centuries of Christian History. We are told that all of our services are “reverent and relaxed.” Please come try a variety of our service offerings!
What are your beliefs?
St. Andrews is a member of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. The center of the Bible, the Christian faith, and what we believe, teach, and confess here at St. Andrew’s is found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and rose for sinners. Everything we do centers around this truth. This act of God on the cross and the empty tomb gives life to people who are burdened by their own sin, guilt, and shame. We believe that apart from Jesus, we have no life or forgiveness because of our sinful nature. But God in his infinite mercy has sent his son Jesus Christ to die and rise for us so that we are restored to new life. We exist to enjoy God’s love, grace, and forgiveness and to share it with those who are hurting. Learn more here.
