Board
Board of Christian Day School
You may be wondering: what exactly is the BCDS? Simply put, we are your school board—a group of elected church members who care deeply about the success of St. Andrews Lutheran School and the well-being of its students and staff.
What We Do
The BCDS provides leadership and oversight for all educational activities at St. Andrews. While the principal manages daily operations, we focus on the “big picture” by:
- Supporting learning opportunities at every level: early childhood, primary, intermediate, and middle school
- Approving curriculum, textbooks, and materials that are Christian, comprehensive, and balanced
- Guiding school policies, monitoring enrollment, and planning for growth
- Coordinating the school budget and setting tuition/registration
- Hiring and supporting qualified administrators and teachers
- Supporting long-term planning for the school’s mission and future
Who We Are
The BCDS is made up of nine elected congregational members. (voting members) The Principal, Pastor, and Director of Christian Education also serve as advisory members. (non-voting members)
How We’re Organized
Our work is carried out through three key committees:
