In Matthew 16 and Romans 12, God’s Word gives us insight into the deeply counter-cultural nature of the Christian Faith.  Following Jesus looks so different from following the ways of the world, and the Things of God are so much higher and better and than the things below.  We have a God who defied convention to die and rise for us and give us his love as a gift.  Lord, let us celebrate YOUR goodness and mercy above all else!
