Pastor Ethan takes us back to another one of Jesus’ parables from the Gospel of Matthew. Continuing with similar themes as last week, this parable uncovers our human tendency to “keep score.” Whether it’s grades in school, getting paid at work, or waiting for the antagonist in our favorite TV show to finally get what’s coming to them – we live much our lives with a “you get what you deserve” mentality. Jesus shows us that in His Kingdom things are very different. The opposite, in fact. In the Kingdom of Heaven we get what we don’t deserve.
